Angélique HOUX (DEMOUILLER)
Angélique HOUX (DEMOUILLER) Freelance translator and sworn translator appointed by the Court of Appeal of Rouen

Your translator

My name is Angélique HOUX, and I have been a professional translator from English, Spanish, and Portuguese into French since 2014. I am also a sworn translator in Spanish, English and Portuguese appointed by the Court of Appeal of Rouen.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Rouen, a Bachelor’s degree in Portuguese from the University of Montpellier, and a Master’s degree in Literary and General Translation from the University of Angers.

After working for a year and a half as an in-house translator at a translation agency in Lille and, at the same time, as a volunteer translator for the Association Quartiers du Monde, I decided to take the plunge into self-employment and become a freelance translator.

This profession allows me to combine my passion for foreign languages and cultures with my passion for literature and the French language as a whole.

By nature, I am thorough and determined, and my various professional experiences have enabled me to develop the essential qualities required for the profession of freelance translator.

I continue to develop my skills by regularly taking training courses, particularly through the National Union of Expert Translators and Interpreters accredited by the Courts of Appeal, of which I am a member.
